As Head of Science and Technology at AcuraBio, Dr. Tim Evans brings over 20 years of project management, technical, and research and development expertise. Dr. Evans’ technical expertise is in the disciplines of molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, and cell biology.
Since 2017, Dr. Evans has been in Project Management, Alliance Management, and General Manager roles and now is Chief Scientific Officer. Prior to working at AcuraBio, he spent six years in innovation commercialization roles at university commercialisation companies UniQuest (The University of Queensland) and QUT bluebox (Queensland University of Technology). Within these roles, Dr. Evans facilitated the commercialization of university research from a broad range of disciplines. Dr. Evans has a background in academic research as a post-doctoral research scholar at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and was the recipient of the Arthritis Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship.
Dr. Evans holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) with First Class Honors (UQ), and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology at the Institute for Molecular Bioscience (University of Queensland).
